The AquaSonic waterphone ...a beautiful, handcrafted musical instrument CLICK FOR THE VIDEO AND SOUND BYTE The AquaSonic is a unique, hand-crafted musical instrument, which when filled with a small amount of water produces distinctively beautiful sounds. Tone rods (tines) can be either bowed or lightly struck and the bottom of the instrument can be played percussively using a drum stick, mallet or by hand (see the video). Similar to whale calls or the sounds produced by a Theremin the AquaSonic has a unique and distinctive tonal range.

The AquaSonic has been used in the Broadway musicals "Wicked" and "Mimi Le Duck." Because this is a unique, hand-crafted instrument, it not only sounds great, but can stand alone as a beautiful metal sculpture - with makers marks and irregularities that only add to the beauty of the AquaSonic.
